Quality Assuring Your School’s SEND Provision
The Southampton Inclusion Partnership have accredited SEND Reviewers, who will work with your school on self-evaluation, in order to form the basis for targeted action planning and future school development and improvement.
We use a comprehensive self-review tool, based on the Whole School SEND, SEND Review Guide, to support the Leadership Team and SENCO/Inclusion Manager in reviewing the strengths of SEND provision and areas for development.
SEND Review Timeline
In advance of the review, there is a short meeting with the Reviewer to explain the process and identify possible lines of enquiry. Schools are invited to share documentation ahead of the visit where possible.

The review itself takes a day, with planned opportunities to speak to staff and pupils, visit classrooms and review documentation. Following the review, the school will receive a written report, outlining strengths and areas for development.

Southampton Inclusion Partnership has experience of carrying out SEND Reviews in mainstream primary and secondary settings across the region. A number of schools then choose to access further support to implement recommendations.
If you would like to discuss a SEND Review in your school, please contact our ITT & Courses Administrator.
